The new album “Layers” by The Nordic Baroque Band is not only a celebration of the ensemble’s musical journey over the past ten years, but also a step toward renewing the expression of baroque music through modern approaches and creative experimentation. The ensemble draws on its deep knowledge of the treasures of the baroque while simultaneously exploring contemporary forms of expression.

“Layers” features both timeless baroque works and an exciting new movement written especially for the ensemble by the Danish composer Stine Benjaminsen.
